**Double podium finish at Forest Rally in WA for TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Australia’s Harry and Lewis Bates**
**Walkinshaw TWG Racing and Brad Jones Racing’s Toyota GR Supra Supercars take the chequered flag in two of the three Supercars Championship races in Tasmania**
**Harry Bates and co-driver Coral Taylor lead ARC with WTWGR and BJR in third and eighth places respectively on Supercars leaderboard**
Toyota has had a hugely successful weekend of motorsport with the TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Australia (TGRA) Rally Team scoring a double podium finish in the Forest Rally in WA and Chaz Mostert (Walkinshaw TWG Racing) and André Heimgartner (Brad Jones Racing) winning two of the three races in a pair of GR Supra Supercars in the Tasmanian round of the Supercars Championship.
At the Forest Rally in south-western Australia, there was drama aplenty with final results seeing TGRA’s Lewis Bates and co-driver Anthony McLoughlin finishing in second place, and Harry Bates and Coral Taylor taking third.
Harry and Coral started the weekend strongly swapping stage wins in Heat 1 with the Swedish international team of Tom Kristensson and Andreas Johansson and headed into the final Power Stage on the Saturday with a 30 second lead before a puncture just 2km into the stage put paid to the win.
A quick repair and they finished but after a solid performance all day, honours went to Lewis and Anthony who came home with the goods and took the win in the Power Stage and second overall across the Saturday.
In Heat 2 on the Sunday, both the GR Yaris Rally2 cars performed faultlessly and Harry and Coral were on fire winning three stages and placing second in a further three to finish the day in the lead.
But it was Lewis and Anthony that again pushed home in the final Power Stage to take the stage win ahead of Harry and Coral by just 1 second and secure second place for Heat 2.
With an overall third place for the weekend’s Forest Rally, Harry and Coral remain at the top of the 2026 Australian Rally Championship leaderboard, Lewis and Anthony are currently in third place, and Toyota leads in the Manufacturers’ title race.
Meanwhile, across the country at Symmons Plains near Launceston in Tasmania, Toyota’s Supercars team partners Walkinshaw TWG Racing (WTWGR) and Brad Jones Racing (BJR) continued to build on the historic first ever Supercars win in a Toyota GR Supra by Ryan Wood at Taupo in New Zealand last month.
In Race 14 that kicked off the Tyrepower Tasmania Super 440, reigning Supercars champion Chaz Mostert dominated in his GR Supra Supercar from pole position to finish with the win placing him into the top ten on the 2026 Supercars Championship leaderboard after five rounds
After a two-year drought, BJR’s André Heimgartner found his winning mojo again and after starting on pole in Race 15, drove a superb race to take the chequered flag and secure only his third-ever Supercars win, and his first in a Toyota GR Supra.
The two wins in the Toyota GR Supras have seen Walkinshaw TWG Racing retain its third spot on the leaderboard with both drivers Ryan Wood and Chaz Mostert sitting inside the top ten drivers in seventh and tenth respectively.
The win in Tasmania saw Brad Jones Racing moving up a spot to eighth with Heimgartner just outside in 12th spot ahead of teammates Cam Hill in 16th and Macauley Jones in 19th.
Toyota and its team partners will be looking to continue clocking the wins when the Supercars Championship heads north to Darwin for the next round on 19-21 June while the TGRA Rally team will be back in force for the TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Narooma Forest Rally in NSW on 26-28 June.
